Building Black Communities BRIC by BRIC
Black Resilience in Colorado
CREATING A STRONG STRUCTURE FOR BLACK NONPROFITS TO SUCCEED
Black Resilience in Colorado (BRIC) Fund is the first Black-focused community fund established in Colorado, explicitly providing financial resources and support to Black-led and serving organizations. Established on Juneteenth (June 19, 2020), BRIC is more than a fund…It is a movement forward for change to address systemic racism and inequities that negatively impact Black communities throughout the seven-county Metro Denver area and beyond. BRIC is an inclusive entity that welcomes diverse support. It empowers organizations and individuals to invest in the sustained organizational growth of Black-led and serving nonprofits – to ensure their work continues and the communities served are not left behind. Through BRIC, nonprofits can leverage community assets, build organizational capacity and secure emergency relief resources during times of crisis. Together, with our donors, emerging philanthropists, community networks, and national peers/networks, we help nonprofits shift from surviving to thriving. BRIC provides valuable resources and programs to dismantle systemic racism and strengthen these organizations' work in Black communities BRIC by BRIC.
Are you interested in helping to pave the path forward? Become a BRIC Builder and a part of our three-year fundraising campaign to ensure the organization's stability, sustainability and growth so that we can continue to provide resources to Colorado's Black-led and serving nonprofits and build Black communities now and in the future. The Build BRIC Campaign goal is to raise $10 million by the end of 2025.
